Innovation in the power markets

The Green Frog group has a record of spotting opportunities and solving problems in the UK power markets.

Our engineers have designed and built a system for delivering gas fuelled power very quickly and flexibly.

We are currently building 230MW of gas-fuelled power and have a pipeline of 500MW more in development.

This year 2016 - the promoters of Green Frog Power are regional finalists in the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year competition.

We have a development team who are constantly reviewing developments in new power storage systems. We have also prototyped a revolutionary carbon fibre turbine that aims to provide a simple and economic system for utilising waste heat to produce  power. These projects will contribute to lowering the nation’s collective carbon footprint.

The holy grail for renewables is energy storage. Traditional battery technology has never been efficient enough for mass power supply.

Key Facts

  • We have doubled our size year on year
  • Our engineers have made gas as a rapid response possible
  • We are developing a revolutionary carbon-fibre turbine to utilise waste heat
  • We are helping to develop practical mass energy storage.
